i just upgraded my distro to mandrake8.0.
i copied an old firewall and ppp configuration which worked fine (as far
as i can remember........ i was a bit over eager to upgrade and wiped
the partion before backing up the working firewall file!).
i was kind of wondering if this is to do with the 2.4 kernel? i beleive
it takes a different aproach to packet filtering?
as i mentioned, i had a similar problem when i first setup demand
dialing and found that i could resolve the issue by adding a line to the
firewall rules which was something like
echo 1> /proc/sys/net/ipv4/.......
but then i could also be completly wrong! :-)
