Email addresses are ASCII characters 0-127 only - i.e. UK/US English
alphanumeric, IIRC.

Check http://cr.yp.to/immhf.html, particularly the 'headers' section.

Also, is the german funny B (sorry, can't remember the correct name
for it) not "ss"? As in Strasse/Straße?
