[Sheflug] Debian dselect...
Hi
Ok, so, I managed to install Debian-2.2r0 on that Compaq beast over NFS -
nice and simple, boot from rescue-floppy, then use root, drivers (all from
compact-series), configure NIC and network, install base system over NFS,
reboot, then (after few more steps) I was presented a selection of
standard configurations - c-development, X, TeX, etc. I chose some, they
got installed (as far as I can tell...). Now, I want to install /
uninstall particular packages, I run dselect... And it presents me with a
choice of A FEW packages that are already selected for
installation... Why? What does that mean? Does it mean that the initial
installation wasn't complete and these packages are 'suggested' by my
selection or what? If so, can I somehow tell dselect to wait with its
suggestions and for now only install / deinstall what I want, and repeat
these suggestions later? (one of D / U?...)
Thanks
Guennadi
