If you want to make it more traditional... :)
	0 = halt
	1 = single-user, no network, no-X
	2 = multi-user, no network, no X
	3 = multi-user, network, no X
	4 and 5 have usually been for custom configs, in the case of
		Linux, X is started in one or t'other...apart from SuSE
		which is awkward and starts it in three.
	6 = reboot

This also makes more sense to me as you can allow multiple logins without 
bringing up the network...if you're admin'ing a box it makes sense to do 
this if you need more than one terminal yourself. Of course, this is 
looking from a UNIX standpoint, rather than Linux, where multiple VT's in 
runlevel 1 isn't uncommon. It's different when you've got to 15 or more 
serial terminals into a machine :)
