[Sheflug] dpkg --force-depends, KDE and PPP
Hi all,
Two quickies:
-I have installed a couple of programs into a Debian potato system,
foncing the deps. The programs work fine (the dependency problem was
between libforms and xpm4g), but if I try to apt-get anything, it just
complains about a missing dep. If I try to get apt-get to sort it out,
it just uninstalls the forced packaages. How can I tell dpkg/apt to
forget about that and carry on as usual (I have tried the odd 100$ bill
inside the passport, but it's not doing much...)
-What's the best way to connect to the Internet using PPP in KDE?
Everything is configured so that you just type pon <isp> and you're on,
or poff <isp> and you're off. Is there something like a switch you can
put on your desktop for that? And I don't want to use diald.
Thanks a lot,
José
