> From Peter, I used to get the same message but for hdc when my computer was booting up under RH 7.1 . Boot message repeated this crc error several times but ended with message that it was fixed. How/why I can't tell you but it started since putting another hard drive in, I had to use a longer than recommended ribbon cable, to reach my second cdrom, hdc and then reach the mother board. Prior to this I didn't get the message. Have you perhaps got a long ribbon cable? However, I have just installed Mandrake 8.0 which seems a bit slower but gives me no crc error messages.
