[Sheflug] Need ISP recommendations, please

I realise this has been discussed before on the list, but as the market changes I'm wondering what people can currently recommend.

My phone account has been with Telnet Residential, and the associated ISP greatXscape, on their unlimited-ish free off-peak internet service, but now I need to change both the telco and the ISP.

Where are the good deals/services? I'm not on anything fancy like ISDN. But I am accustomed to being connected for hours and hours, (I read very slowly).

Preferable would also be an ISP that doesn't arbitrarily cut off after 2 hours like.

Is BT's Surftime any good?
