Thanks for the replies,
It looks as thought in the /proc/bus directory there is no usb directory for
the port.
Would I have to insmod the port to create the directory?

My own SuSE systems work fine. Looks as though SuSE have put a great
deal of effort into this.
More than a few people have said to me that it looks as though Linux
will be much better for USB than any Microsoft product.
Anyone had any USB experiences with Red Hat or Debian ? Matt ?? .....
