I used to, but since I learnt how to make .debs (it's damned easy, actually)
I'm steering well-clear of that lark.  It's just too damned risky, because
(f' rinstance) I've got a damned old version of pine (can't get anything
else to compile, damn it) which needs ncurses3.4 (it was compiled in the
days of Slink).  Now, since it isn't a package, the system doesn't think it
needs ncurses 3.4 anymore, so it keeps wandering off on occasion - causing
pine to die.

Yes, Pine is bad, but that's a discussion for another day.
