[Sheflug] quake 3 / mesa / open gl / nvidia geforce 2

Now im just getting annoyed. I went to all the trouble of downloading 27mb worth of quake 3 point release, only to be told when i try and run it that it cant find a mesa compatible open Gl renderer.

I know I have my nvidia geforce setup correctly since other open gl games run it fine and glxinfo says its good too... am i supposed to tell quake 3 somehting special on start up like "use my nvidia card" or somehting? what have I done wrong....

really hope someone can help, rebooting back to windows just to have a quick quake 3 network game is getting kinda annoying, and id like to switch to linux on a more permanent basis... :)

thanks, james

ps ive included output stuff below if anyone knows what it's on about?
