After mucho problemo with with apt-get an dselect I've finally got
Quanta into the machine with Kpackage.

Apt-get refused to recognise the update CD in /dev/cdrom. So, I had
to run update with a single package at time in Kpackage. That took
three hours for Quanta. All the error messages say that either
dselect crashed or apt-get refused to connect to the update CD
because there isn't a main or contrib folder on the CD. When I told
it what to do it just ignored me and threw me out.

I then tried to change /etc/apt and included a line which is "deb
file:/dev/cdrom" . The error message that came back said "E:
Malformed line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list" So, if anyone
can help me to get that right I'd really appreciate it.

I now found when I try to compile Komba that I get the following
error message at the bottom of the ./configure script ...

"Checking for KDE ... configure: error:
in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This
will fail. So, check this please and use another prefix !"

Anyone know what that means ? Means nothing to me at all. I did
'./configure' to start the compile.

Thanks
