[Sheflug] Win98 laptop and SOHO
Hi,
I have a friend that has a laptop running windows. Because of
corporate policy, he can't install anything on it, and they are fairly
strict with that. The thing is that I am trying to get him hooked to our
home network. Basically, the computer would use DHCP to ask a server for
IP information, and that'd be it.
As I have no idea of how windows does things, I was wondering
whether this might screw up his work network configuration. Is it just a
matter of me jotting down the MAC address and shoving it in dhcp's
config file, or do I need to be careful about something else?
Thanks
Jose
