Could I ask why you need bonafide Compaq memory? If you don't have to keep a
Compaq warranty alive & you aren't populating an ECC server mobo generic FPM
memory should work fine. Compaq insist on Compaq memory so their sales
people have something to do and because it is supposed to be stringently
tested with their kit. They will always blame non-Compaq bits in one of
their machines if it develops a fault.
btw I am a Compaq-qualified desktop & server engineer.
