[Sheflug] Mandrake 8, Nvidia & sound

Long story cut short - bog standard Mandrake 8 with latest Nvidia Riva
drivers installed, worked fine, Tuxracer a dream etc. Installed PCI sound
card - no more 3-d acceleration. Odd thing is - remove card & still glx is
not playing. Ideas, o sages?
