[Sheflug] Server question

Hi chums,

Can anyone enlighten me as to what is involved in setting up your own
webserver. Not the installation of Apache or whatever, but what is necessary
to obtain for yourself a domain with a fixed IP or whatever else. An idea of
costs involved would also be very interesting.
