My lilo.conf file is named lilo.conf.anaconda(Red Hat sys).
the requested line shows append="hdc=ide-scsi" (hdc is the rewriter).

I get /dev/scd0 unknown device, & same for scd1.

[root@localhost log]# ls -l /dev/scd0

[root@localhost log]# ls -l /dev/scd1
brw-------    1 peter    disk      11,   1 Aug 30 21:30 /dev/scd1
