You shouldn't have a problem as long as you use a 2.4 kernel.  You'll 
have to re-compile the kernel to include the appropriate USB drivers 
but mine worked fine on SuSE 7.2.  Benoit drivers and docs at ...

if you do it this way around then you won't need to patch the kernel.
