[Sheflug] New Version Released of Keeper Linux Distro
Dear all
Ken from Keeper Linux sent this in so thought you might like to read
it...
From: kenw <xxxxx [at] keeper.org.uk>
Hi All,
I have just released a new version of Keeper Linux (1.1), ready for
download.
www.keeper.org.uk
The new release comes with a separate root filing systems specific to
a particular application:
i.e.
1. rootklx1.1ssh.gz comes with an ssh client, making it ideal for
administering remote systems.
2. rootklx1.1firewall.gz comes with iptables, making it ideal as a
secure firewall/gateway.
The same kernel can be used for both, either:
bootklx1.1-lilo-2.4.17-i386-current
or
bootklx1.1-syslinux-2.4.17-i386-current
I use busybox for the most common unix/Linix commands
(www.busybox.net).
More information can be found on our web site.
If you find this version useful or have other applications in mind,
please let me know.
I build Keeper Linux purely for fun and neither require or expect
commercial gain. So please feel free to experiment and send feedback.
Thanks and best Regards,
Ken
