Re: [Sheflug] Linux developments
Yeh I will go to the meeting on May 4th, so we will talk more then, well,
I'm gonna split it up into parts, tell me which one you want to do and I'll
have the same decision as you :D
1) 3D FPS - Lots of engines, could be the most popular, i can do a lot of
things to help, we can shoot things :D
2)3D RPG (dungeon siege, neocron, everquest) - single player, harder to
make?
3) 2D RPG (gameboy style, pokemon series on gameboy) - easier than the rest,
could make a series out of it e.g. generic RPG 1 could be gameboy style,
then generic RPG 2 could be a 3D RPG etc
4) Mod for quake 3, UT etc - we'd get lots of help from ppl over the net,
quicker to make, good engines, good advertisement for Linux.
See what you think if you have any other ideas please let me know.
Heres a list of things i can do : make levels, model, art, maybe a bit of
programming.
We we'll speak more at the meeting, but do you know if they have net access
there, as we could check out some engines/source codes and see what other
people are up to.
By the way just so you know I'm 16 years old.
how will we know each other at the meeting?
