Re: [Sheflug] Linux developments
Some good points. See below for my decisions :)

Would (arguably) be most popular as a commercial game, but getting a FPS
which doesn't suck is something which is not often achieved (certainly not
outside the walls of id)

Harder with respect to AI, certainly. Also, would 3D be necessary? I would
think looking at gameplay first, graphics engine later would be better. After
all, many games have 2D and 3D versions which are essentially the same, but
with 3D graphics powering one of them...

I would vote for this one, personally. This is for several reasons:
a) I like them. Best reason, I reckon
b) They are pretty simple with respect to graphics and AI, so should be a
good starting out project
c) As you point out, future versions can have the extras :)

Unless a TC was in the works, this wouldn't really be a game in it's own
right. Also, I would rather do a full game than a mod. Just my preference!
So, in summary for those who skim, I vote for 2D RPG :) I am thinking Zelda,
but maybe w/o the platform elements (although that could be cool!) That game
was only 8k, so I don't think we'll manage that, but you never know...

Unfortunately not, but I can install a load on my laptop and bring it along.

I'll be the one who looks like that guy on all the other meeting photo's :)
