We did that months ago and even back in September 1999 we had the 
resources to do some training.  No one in the local area listened.  
Instead they went off to their business/Uni department and said to 
themselves. ... Oh make some money for me then :)

I did try to explain that we could offer a low cost alternative but no 
one listened to that either.  So, faced with the fact that personal 
pocket filling was more important than training up the local 
community I gave up and didn't say any more.  Some things are just 
too difficult.  As far as I can see everyone has looked at all of my 
plans for 1999 and then gone off and done their own thing without 
telling me about it or anyone else.  Yes, I know you personally did 
explain to all of us that Shef U was planning to offer some courses 
:)

We still offer free training and lectures and support at monthly 
meetings but it's not as advanced as it should have been.  In fact, 
because people haven't bothered to show an interest in free 
educational lectures I haven't bothered to organise any because no 
one was interested in turning up.  I always find it hard to believe 
that people would much rather be ripped off for as much as £5000 
rather than get something that's much better for nothing at all.
