I have a Samsung SV043D (4.3GB) IDE HDD which I'd like to press into 
service. However, when attempting to install SuSE 8.0, the installer 
complains that the drive has an unsupported partition table and can't 
proceed. Windoze doesn't seem to encounter the same difficulties, however 
and successfully (or at least, apparently so) manages to create and format 
a FAT32 partition.

I've run the Samsung diagnostics on the drive, including low level 
formatting it and there doesn't seem to be a problem.

Any ideas?
