I know it's the ultimate in sadness, replying to one's own posts but my 
memory is trying to tell me the MTA I'm thinking of could be postfix. Can 
anyone confirm and likewise, would anyone like to propose the relative 
merits and de-merits to a relative newcomer to Linux and mailservers?
