RedHat is less than Free Software because when you receive it, you can't just copy it if you like - it is a trademark issue, but it prevents people sharing the software. "Pink Tie" gets around it by replacing all the trademarked packages. Thus, if you receive Pink Tie you are assured it's Free Software and you can treat it as such - i.e., share it with people, change it, give people your changes, etc. Cheers, Alex.
