Thanks for all the replies chaps.
Well Ive done it, I think.
Not the upgrade or anything. But got it working with Redhat 8 without even
loading the drivers!!
It identifies it correctly as a hpt374 device and all the disks on it are
available.
I think i buggered up the first install by putting the grub loader on the
second boot disk instead of the first one and it just sat there looking
rather dumb.
Theres a major improvement in performance for the disks attached to the
card, and thats before they are even striped. Yup, there running as single
disks on the card for now. (I decided to do it that way so if there was a
problem, I'd have a better chance of recovering data from a single disk than
an array).
This card really is a seriously good piece of kit :)
Right, Im off to do the striping now....
