Hmmm.... there are times when all the distributions go through some 
bad sessions and this looks it might be one of them. 

 We were having a chat about kernel modules in SuSE 8.1 on the SuSE 
English today.  Went on for a while.  RedHat 9 has been released.  I 
hate to think what's lurking in there :)  The people who brought us 
the crashing 2.4 kernel.  Even Debian GNU/Linux has had it's bad 
monents :)  Slackware ?  Dunno.
