Many HP laser printers have a LCD panel on the front. If the printer has
its own internal
jetdirect card you should be able to print out a config page that tells
you what the IP
address of the printer is. If you can manage to get the IP then you
should be able to print
directly to the IP address by creating a printer queue using the IP as
the TCP printer port.
(I know this works on SuSE with CUPS so it should work on RedHat)
If you can find the printers IP then printing directly will probably be
the best thing to try.
