RE: [Sheflug] Printing via linux
I've got a HP laserjet 1100a and a deskjet 1220c printing from my Suse box
via a netgear print server. I was just wondering if some of these "value"
colour laser printers worked on a similar basis to the win printers where
the PC does the processing via a windows program. I've looked on the
manufacturers websites but lots don't mention Linux. However I've found
that this doesn't mean you can't use Linux. YAST seems to suggest that for
printers supporting PCL or ESC/P it should be possible to make them work.
The Epson C900 supports ESC/PageS but I'm not sure if this is ESC/P.
