Agreed. It depends on hardware, obviously. I've tried it on 2 dual Xeon
Dell machine (where Redhat 9 was running ok, btw). Is you machine Intel
or Athlon SMP box? There is different kernel for athlon.
My experience was very bad - machine just hangs
with last message "entering interactive start-up" (pretty much at the
start). Then cold reboot is only an option.
My point was - if you haven't got constant access to the box where
Fedora is running you are at very big risk to end -up with non-working
system after kernel update one day. Our servers are in London and I just
can't risk it.
