It's fairly average for SuSE to mess up Apache :)  Seems to be okay on 
Debian.  SuSE are quite good at most other things.  But, a deal with 
Novell ?  Come on, they must be joking.  Novell never produced any 
product that didn't crash.  All the University admins I've spoken to 
tell me that this is so.  Salford, London, Scotland etc.
