I wouldn't have thought you have much of a call there, to be honest,
unless SUSE specifically state that they support the app you're trying
to run. If, by "3rd party", you mean proprietary, there isn't really a
huge amount that they would be able to do to fix things.
Is the "3rd party" software something well known? Does it say it
supports SUSE (it's not really for SUSE to support apps; more the apps
to run cleanly on SUSE)? If the app is dying with a segfault, then it's
a bug in that app (well, 99% sure it's a bug in that app) and your
problem is with the people who wrote it in the first place.
This probably doesn't help much tho' :/ I would think you could get the
software running somehow though - anyone reasonably competent with
GNU/Linux will be able to tell you exactly what the problem is, and if
the software runs on Red Hat it probably won't be difficult to make it
run on SUSE.
