How about an easy four-step process;

1. Install vmware or equivalent;
2. Repartition (if required) to create a spare drive;
3. Install Linux to spare drive;
4. Install lilo to MBR if possible, else install into partition and
create an NT chainloader

So long as you ensure everything is correctly configured (network-wise)
and the right modules are loaded, it should come up as a linux machine
when you reboot.

Probably would be cheaper and easier just to visit the machine and
install it locally though... :)
