I shouldn't need any special access to do what I'm proposing, just my ftp
account name and password. My FTP client software can already pull down a
list of all the files required (even if it isn't recursive). So I would
have thought this bit could be implemented as a script to pulldown all teh
file names and store in a file rather than on the screen. As the FTP client
software can also CHMOD each file one by one then one could write a script
to send these ftp commands feeding each of the file names from the
previously generated list as the file name to chmod.
Please tell me if I'm missing something vital here as I'm about to drag out
the perl manuals and try it for real.
