Does anyone know of a maintained list of websites/domains that might be
considered "unsuitable" to use in a web filtering solution for local

months but can't remember where it was.

Squidguard? <http://www.squidgurard.org/> There are a few others
that work with squid, though.

I have used squdguard quite succesfully - there is a list that you can download for it but it's not that great... It had google.co.uk blocked among a few others. It's a good start, and then as you encounter pages you want to allow then you can remove them. It also had regular expression matching for URLs/picture file names etc.

Could be just what you are after - the regexp matching is a definite plus. You can also couple that with AdZapper to block most ads on web pages.
