I am trying to set up a simple web forum for network managers at the schools around mine.

I am trying to use post nuke, as a part from it being a very good package, I would like to
show OSS in a good light.

I have everything installed and running, but starting to struggle on customiseing things to my
spec.

Can anyone suggest a good how-to document which is fairly simple in outlook?

I am looking for example to be able to make new users wait to be authorised by admin before becoming
active.

I have looked at <http://www.postnuke.org>www.postnuke.org and can find loads modules etc, but no a lot in the way of docs.

I'm using PostNuke on a website I maintain, however, I'm far from an expert. I've gained most of my (minimal) knowledge from an extremely helpful acquaintance who knows PostNuke well. However, you'll understand if I don't pass his contact details to you.

I gather from him that most help is obtained from the various PostNuke users' forums (fora?).

I don't know if that's any help.
I have developed one site using postNuke and finished another one. When I tried postNuke (october 2003) it was, for many aspects, and mainly for what regards documentation, *unfinished work*.

You will find postNuke documentation at http://docs.postnuke.com/index.php?module=Static_Docs&func=view&f=categories.htm

While layout is not difficult to change, the modules system is more complex than the phpNuke one, and not well documented.

I don't know if I would suggest postNuke as content management system. If you want to have a look at different alternatives, you can visit http://www.opensourcecms.com/

Best regards,
Andres
