[Sheflug] Gnome gubbins

As a long time KDE user, I recently decided to have a play around with gnome 
2.6 and see what it was like. Some of it I like, some of it I don't, but 
there are a few odd questions that I have that I can't find out through 
searching all the forums and docs and things. The answers are probably very 
very simple, and Imight look like a complete tit asking, but hey, thats what 
this is for.

1) Is there any way of changing the colours in gnome themes apart from hacking 
the theme files manually?

2) Is there any way of changing the icon size for the desktop? This is getting 
on my nerves, and is probably some hidden setting somewhere, but I'll be 
damned if I can find it.

Little niggles, but annoying ones
