Get yourself a cheap PCI IDE card - mine's a SIL-0680 card which cost about
£20 from Maplins, does ATA-133 and (optionally) RAID. I just use mine as a
fast IDE port though.If you actually want to boot from the off-board RAID
make sure your kernel is configured to do so!
