[Sheflug] SMB mounts from fstab

Having been googling for the last hour or so, we're trying to do an smb
mount from /etc/fstab. What's happening is that we're getting errors in
the syslog like:

Sep 22 15:21:09 slinux kernel: smbfs: Unrecognized mount option noexec

If we put 'exec' on the options, the error is something like

Sep 22 15:21:09 slinux kernel: smbfs: Unrecognized mount option nouser

...then it goes to 'nodev', 'noauto' and so on.

We may be barking up a "doesn't work" tree. It looks like loads of ppl
have had problems getting smb mounts from fstab to work.

FWIW, we're on SuSE and we've tried this with 2.6.5 and 2.4.21 kernels.

Any suggestions?

TIA,
