Is this a SuSEe Install? Not sure if its specific to SuSE as I don't use
anything else but my box will also boot to the point of starting X and then
just give a blank screen. Got round it by doing a safe boot do init level 3
then running sax2 an setting it up from there. Next normal boot was OK.
However I had to restrict the max resolution to 1024x768. Its all to do
with refresh rates. If the PC attempts to send data faster than the monitor
can display it it says "no" rather than exploding (allegedly).
