  I've managed to get dansguardian+squid running ok. You'll find a basic
setup is quite easy to do. There are quite a few set-up instructions
around by different people if you google. They don't all have the same
approach/ideas on setup and some items I've been told to ignore. Read
the squid.conf file, it gives some clues. You don't need to change much.
  The only problem I'm having is that a user can alter his browser
setting from proxy to direct. Doing this bypasses dansguardian and the
protection I'm trying to give to my grand kids.

I'm still trying to work out how make a user have denied direct access
to the internet, i.e. he has to go through the proxy, so altering his
browser settings to direct connection, would have no effect.
