I don't know the answer to the question .. sorry..but you can set up SMTP-AUTH
and TLS so that you can always use the same relay.  ie SMTP-AUTH allows
selective relaying based on username / password, and TLS encrypts the
authentication process ( and indeed any SMTP connection that will allow it ). 
There are some HOWTO's on t'internet ( google for "SMTP-AUTH TLS").  

The bonus with this is you can use a single SMTP relay wherever you are on the
net, and you increase the level of encrypted email you send and recieve.
