Its worth considering the distribution as well. Both KDE and Gnome have, in my
opinion, a different feel in Suse 10 to the latest Kunbuntu and Unbuntu
distributions I am playing with now - whilst I wait for Novel to sort out the
package management on Suse 10.1.
When I moved to Linux I had both KDE and Gnome installed. In the end I
gravitated to KDE because of ease of use. I keep on looking at Gnome (as I am
now) but keep KDE on my working disc... I never make the jump.
