Well it looks like the list is fscked again Richard
A post I made about cherry keybds hasn't turned up yet and I certainly
didn't see the original post about this.
Plus the OP's email addy is removed from the post so I can't even be
sure this will get back to him.
This is probably no help at all but I've always used cups - works fine
with an Epson I recycled two years ago and my current HP 6540.
My Epson was a venerable Stylus 740 and that always worked fine but some
of the Epsons don't work too well so I plumped for HP when it was time
for a new printer.

What that 'mostly' is, I have no idea.
I suggest you check/replace drivers and then try cups in case turboprint
is causing the problem.
