Actually I feel I have to disagree with that. 10.1 was fine but then I
only used it a short time after 10.0 and before going over to 10.2
which in my view has some serious faults with YaST and the update
manager. Zmd and it's sub-processes such as update-status have been
turned into CPU munching beasts in 10.2. It's ok if you don't mind
waiting 3-5 minutes to use the computer after you boot up and log in.
I have switched to the smart package manager and check for updates
manually at the moment. Effectively the mess that has been made of YaST
and zmd in 10.2 leaves no alternative but rpm from the CLI or smart
either CLI or GUI and smart is beta atm.
