| I'm still using an ancient Oki 12i/n printer that I bought about 8
| years ago: It still works fine from Linux or W*****s - it's a
| networked Postscript printer so avoids most of the issues of printer
| drivers. It is however rather slow (i.e. weak CPU), esp if I fire
| very graphical output at it. I've not felt any pressing need to
| replace it with a new zippy model while it continues to work. So
| FreeCycle / EBay are good options if you do your research to find a
| Postscript - or well supported - printer.

Hi,
I'm even worse in this respect... HP LaserJet 4plus (with postscript +
mem + jet direct upgrades)
Manufacture date was 1992 according to the docs I had. Still a hell of a
workhorse.
