My Brother HL-1450 is still working, but (1) the "drum" light has
started flashing, (2) it doesn't have much memory (and it would cost
almost as much as the printer did to upgrade it) so I sometimes get
error pages instead of fancy graphics, and (3) my spouse is encouraging
me to buy a network printer so she can print from W*nd*ws without
difficulty (at least half of her print jobs completely disappear before
they show up on my machine running CUPS & Samba, and trying to debug it
is driving me up the wall).
