My 2p's worth but it's probably not worth a lot...

>From the news page that I have created. Those of us who have never
used Debian don't know that once in a while when a new release cycle
comes along the whole process of bug squashing and releasing the new
version can become slowed down. Just now rumours about Lenny's
release date seem to be going as far as June next year. But, those of
us (like myself) who have used Debian since 1993 (or thereabouts) are
hoping that Lenny will come along sooner.

Lenny looks a good deal more buggy than I would like it to be on my
own workstation or server. But, your mileage may vary and everyone
has a different experience. I'm waiting for the next release of Debian
by using Ubuntu 8.04 LTS.
