Hello,

There is an article in this month's Linux Format (LXF 113, Christmas
20008!), dealing with mobile broadband and the Huawei modem. The
wvdial.conf looks slightly different to my untutored eye, they say
this works for all providers:
[Dialer t-mobile]
Modem = /dev/ttyUSB0
Baud = 460800
ISDN = 0
Modem Type = analogue Modem
Phone = *99***1#
Stupid Mode = on
Username = anything
Password = anything

and connect with wvdial t-mobile

The overall assessment was that it all works pretty well under Linux.
They don't mention having to connect with a Windows machine first;
could that have caused the problem?
