Even if the power supply does fail, provided that the rest of the
board is ok I can always wire in an alternative supply. As I say,
this sort of thing isn't for those of a nervous disposition, so I
wouldn't recommend it to anyone scared of improvisation or befuddled
by a command line. However, if you are a recessionista technocrat
looking for something which can be run at rock bottom cost then I
think this is a good solution.
