RE: Partitions Compression
The argument against auto-reboot is the admin gets to see the STOP error
first. If there is a serious problem with the filesystem or system files,
it may be a reinstall job to get the server back up so the error is lost.
Pity MS never gave you the chance to run a minimal NT safe mode to get
rid of troublesome drivers.........
Weird. The only time I've ever seen NT reboot, rather the BSOD was
when the setting reboot on stop was set. This is handy for servers.
Every time your machine BSOD, it reboots, and then carries on working
again.
It can be really anoying when you get a BSOD before you've even had a
chance to log in. That happened to me once. I installed a new network
driver, rebooted the machine. It got to the log in box, and then
rebooted. This just carried on and on and on. What fun.
